San Francisco native and co-owner of weareFlex, Shawn Bates has been around the music industry block more than a few times. From her early days as a popular KUSF DJ, through the bowels of the DNA Lounge as talent buyer, to ten years of Label Education, she has emerged intact, mostly sane, and still loving music & pop culture.

Shawn has worked with everyone from Barry Manilow to Prince, and for nearly five years now she and partner Casey Conroy have run weareFlex. Based in SF, weareFlex specializes in Marketing, Sales, Advertising, & Beyond for independent labels and artists. Their current client roster includes Stanley Jordan, Kenny Garrett and Rahsaan Patterson, among others.
