Cory Brown founded Absolutely Kosher Records 10 years ago and took over Misra Records a little over a year ago. He runs both labels with a small but exceptional staff out of an office in Emeryville. Recent and upcoming releases from Bay Area stars like Little Teeth, Pidgeon, Ex-Boyfriends, 60 Watt Kid, and Okay as well as The Wrens, Centro-matic, The Low Lows, Mobius Band, Chet, Azeda Booth, Sybris, The Gang, Summer Hymns, The Dudley Corporation, Chris Garneau, Southeast Engine, the Affair, Sleeping States, Frog Eyes and Hallelujah the Hills. This is why he's short on sleep.
