With her music, consumer product marketing, and human behavioral studies background that spans more than 20 years, “Ko” presently is the owner of agitprop media group (a conscious, creative brand strategy firm), and the co-owner of BPM (brands+music). Prior to her entrepreneur drive, Ko worked at such music labels as A&M and Virgin Records. She then went onto being one of the pioneers of national street team marketing with her first company Asylm Marketing in the early 90’s. Ko worked with 150 field reps in over 90 markets nationwide servicing bands and brands such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Sony Playstation, Electronic Arts, The Fugees, Fat Boy Slim, and numerous record labels as Elecktra, Columbia, Astralwerks, and Warner Bros. Under this umbrella she also managed such artists as Bjork and Tonic. Taking this expertise, she parlayed this into running an ad/brand strategy agency which worked with such brands as Seiko, L.A. Footgear, Ketel One, and Converse. Today Ko continues down the path of opening brands and consumers alike to new processes of discovery and inter-relationship through innovative, meaningful programs.
