Superfly

Rick Farman, Co-Founder and Partner, Superfly Presents

Rick Farman began promoting concerts at the age of 17 at small clubs in New York City. While attending Tulane University, he was Promotions Manager at Tipitina's, New Orleans’ legendary nightclub. In 1996, he left Tipitina's to form Superfly Presents with fellow music enthusiasts Jonathan Mayers, Richard Goodstone and Kerry Black. Overseeing the company’s operations, talent booking, comedy programming, artist management, publicity and company development, Farman, along with the Superfly partners, has been a prime force in the creation of some of the country’s most groundbreaking festivals, including the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, which Rolling Stone praised as "one of the 50 moments to change the history of rock and roll"; Outside Lands, the first major ticketed event in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park; and Superfly During Jazz Fest, the company's inaugural concert series now in its 15th year.
