Session: Experiencing The Molecules Change: Live musical experiences. A great concert...or even simply a great moment in a concert...can create realities that the experiencer never thought possible. The molecules seem to change in mid air around the soundwaves, the swaying of the crowd...the light show....the earth movement. And in this day of digital music supreme those moments still seem unreplicatable and some of the most authentic and enjoyable ways to experience music. In this session we will share prime experiences such as these and think about what made them so special....what triggered the brain, the heart, the soul to reach for (and find) a higher ground. David Katznelson is Grammy-nominated producer and former A&R Vice President of Warner Bros Records. He is the co-founder of Musica Technomica and The San Francisco Appreciation Society. He is starting a blues vinyl subscription service called THE COTTON EXCHANGE (www.thecottonexchange.net) while also producing a blues show on KUSF IN EXILE on Sunday Nights from 8-10pm with the same name. He is working on his next box set which will feature the first 125 singles from the Specialty Records catalog and is opening a pop-up Jewish Record Store in San Francisco in late November with The Idelsohn Society (www.idelsohnsociety.com), a non-profit organization he also co-founded.
