Year Zero

A conversation with 42 Entertainment's Susan Bonds, President & CEO, and Alex Lieu, Chief Creative Officer. 42 Entertainment is the Pasadena-based agency that designed the groundbreaking experience to generate buzz around the much-anticipated Nine Inch Nails album Year Zero. Launched in 2007, this award-winning ARG played out across multiple mediums and platforms, and began with the discovery of a phone number on a tour t-shirt that ultimately led fans through a series of websites and trans-media assets to an alternate reality future.

Patsavas was named as the 2006 "Entertainment Marketer of the Year" by Advertising Age for her work choosing music for some of the most-watched television shows of the past 10 years, including Grey's Anatomy, The O.C., Gossip Girl, and Without A Trace. Patsavas has also been named one of Variety's 50 honorees for their annual "Women's Impact Report," and featured as one of Billboard's "Top Women In Music." Last year, Patsavas formed Chop Shop Records. The label's roster features singer/songwriters Jade McNelis and Anya Marina, and indie-pop band The Republic Tigers
